Online stats
In addition to counting hits to your site, Counter will give you online access to real-time stats showing hits to your site. This allows you to quickly and easily view trends in hit volume over the previous two months.

Count total hits
Counter will count all hits to your page. This means that every time a page bearing your counter is uploaded, your counter will register one hit.

Count unique visitors (by day, week or month)
Available only through Counter Professional
You can set your counter to count only unique visitors, meaning visitors who have not previously been to your site. Counter also allows you to define unique visitors by day, week or month, meaning that you have the option to specify that anyone who has not visited your site that day, week or month is a unique visitor.

Display hits for current day only
Available only through Counter Professional
You have the option to have your counter display reset to zero every day, showing your visitors daily hit totals rather than aggregate historical totals.

Display hits for current month
Available only through Counter Professional
You have the option to have your counter display reset to zero every month, showing your visitors monthly hit totals rather than aggregate historical totals.

Exclude IP addresses from counting
Available only through Counter Professional
An IP address is simply a type of Internet address. All Internet users are assigned numerical IP addresses (typically through Internet service providers) that effectively act as electronic identifiers.

Hits are counted and unique page visitors are identified through IP addresses; by excluding IP addresses from being counted, you can prevent your counter from tracking frequent visitors. This feature can allow you and your colleagues to visit your site without skewing hit-count data.

Email updates
Counter will send you scheduled email reports which summarize your hit-count data. Users of the Basic Counter service can choose between daily and weekly emails, while users of the Counter Professional service can choose daily and weekly emails, or they can opt not to receive summary emails at all.
